NELSON Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Nelson County Sheriff's Office arrested 43 people over the course of the four day Lockn' Music festival, of about 20,000 attendees.

That almost doubles the 25 arrested at last year's festival.

The 71 charges stemming from the arrests included possession of schedule I/II drugs; possession of marijuana; possession of nitrous; possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II drug; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; possession with intent to distribute nitrous; assault on FIRE/EMS; assault on law enforcement; public intoxication; trespassing; and property damage.

The sheriff's office did not indicate whether the uptick in arrests would mean any changes for the festival.
