Man burned on 90-percent of body, airlifted after house fire in Bedford Co.

BEDFORD Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Big Island Volunteer Fire Company responded to a house fire Tuesday morning that left a man with burns on 90-percent of his body.

According to fire officials on the scene, several crews and the Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the scene on Bell Hill Farms Road.

They said a 65-year-old man was suffering from third-degree burns.

The victim was airlifted to Roanoke Carilion due to his injuries.
