Salt Lake City, UT(WSET) - In a press conference, Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney gave his opinions on the state of the 2016 presidential election.

Romney begins by addressing rumors that he is there to announce candidacy or to endorse a candidate.

Then, Romney said that,

"In 1964, just days before the presidential election, Ronald Reagan went on national television and challenged America saying that it was a time for choosing. He saw two paths for America.....I'm no Ronald Reagan and this is a different state in time, but I believe with all my heart and soul that we face another time of choosing."

Speaking from the Hinckley Institute of Politics at University of Utah, he warns America about Trump specifically.

The Mormon politician then said that if Trump is elected, a prosperous future is diminished.

Romney attacked Trump as a bad businessman by referencing how bad his economic plans would be for the American worker.

Also referenced by Romney is the fraud charges of Trump University.

Romney then attacked Trump's relationships, specifically with Putin.

"Trump says he admires Vladimir Putin but at the same time calls George W. Bush a liar. That is a twisted example of evil trumping good."- Mitt Romney

Romney then went after Trump's character

"[American Presidents and nominees] help define America for billions of people around the world. All of them bear the responsibility of being an example to our children and our grandchildren. Think of Donald Trump's personal qualities: the bullying, the greed, the showing off, the misogyny, the absurd 3rd grade theatrics."
