RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- Governor Northam is trying to help more people in Virginia get proper training to obtain careers in the adult beverage industry.

The wineries and breweries in Nelson County are thriving, but they need more trained employees.

So, Northam announced Wednesday that $250,000 will go towards helping the cause.

The money will fund college programs that trains candidates in wine and cider making, craft brewing and distilling.

Those programs will be available at Piedmont Virginia Community College and Germanna Community College.
