Rock festival featuring national, regional, and local bands coming to Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Rock fans of all ages are in for a treat as Lynchburg Concerts has announced their first festival of the year: Blue Ridge Rock Festival.
The festival is featuring over 20 national bands with support from local and regional favorites, local vendors, food trucks, beer, BBQ, whiskey, and bacon.
Organizers announced that Scott Stapp, the lead singer of Creed, will be the festival's headliner.
The festival's lineup includes chart topping national rockers like Everlast, Drowning Pool, Sick Puppies, Adema, Saliva, Dope, III Nino Trapt, Saving Abel, Flaw, and Almost Kings.
The festival is also featuring southern rockers Texas Hippie Coalition and Moonshine Bandits.
Festival organizers said rock/rap hybrid bands such as Twiztid, (Hed) p.e, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, and Whitney Peyton will also be there.
And, there will be a number of local and regional favorites like Last Nights Villain (LNV), Hateful Bones, Media Downfall, Demyze, Something Cleaver, Shun the Raven, and many more!
Organizers said there will be two stages; a main stage outdoors and a side stage inside Phase 2.
There will also be an after party with two national headliners and regional support inside Phase 2 at the end of the night.
The festival is September 9, rain or shine, at Phase 2 and is open to all ages.
VIP Gates open at 10 a.m. and General Admission opens at 11 a.m., with the show beginning at 12 p.m.
