Liberty University Nurse Camp for High School Students!
Nurse Camp for High School Students
Liberty University's School of Nursing prepares students to become nurses who are committed to Christian ethical standards. The nursing program is designed to provide individuals with a broad educational background, which builds upon Biblical knowledge, liberal arts, behavioral and social sciences as well as nursing. The curriculum is directly derived from the stated purpose, philosophy, objectives, and organizing framework of the School of Nursing. The program has a heavy emphasis on hands-on clinical experience with students graduating from the program with over 700 hours of hands-on patient care experience.
High School students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to register for our Nursing Summer Camp being held July 16-18, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Nursing Summer Camp will introduce students to the field of nursing through a Biblical worldview.
Participants will learn Basic Life Support/CPR Certification, nursing skills, team building, and Metacognition learning techniques while focusing on safety, confidence, and competence through clinical experience in a state of the art facility and accredited university environment.
