UVA & VT Quarterback Moms to Help Lynchburg Local Charity

Lynchburg, VA - There's nothing wrong with a little inner-state rivalry, especially when it can help a good cause.

Michael Rocco is the quarterback for UVA, and Logan Thomas is the quarterback for Virginia Tech. They're both local athletes, and their moms are once again teaming up to help out the Interfaith Outreach in Lynchburg.

They are promoting a raffle to help out the nonprofit.

Tickets are $10 and the prize is four seats to the UVA-Tech game Saturday November, 24 in Blacksburg.

"With the holidays coming up, I believe it's the perfect time of year to be able to donate money or to donate time to interfaith outreach," said Kim Tarazona.

"People are really struggling in this community with heating their homes and providing food for their families in just a tough economic time," said Leslie Rocco.

There are still plenty of tickets for sale at the Depot Grille, Pokie-Joes, The Cavalier and Market on Main.
