Lynchburg's Jubilee Center Gets $2,500 NASA Grant

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg's Jubilee Center has been awarded a $2,500 grant from NASA for the STEM Summer Academy.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Jubilee is one of 172 programs in the U.S. to receive the award.

The program focuses on engaging middle school students in scientific discovery and space exploration through participation in unique NASA-related STEM contact lessons.

STEM workshops will be offered five days a week for three weeks to students participating in Jubilee's annual Summer Enrichment Camp.
