Digital Dome At Danville Science Center To Open Saturday

Danville, VA - The Danville Science Center is almost ready to unveil their digital dome. The screen projects a movie all around and above you.

The Science Center has been working on creating this dome for over a year and it cost millions of dollars. One hundred people will be able to watch at a time. Their first full-length movie is called 'Flight of the Butterflies,' which shows butterfly migrations.
"We've been on the edge so long, we're ready to get going and invite people in and start fulfilling their dreams now that our dream of having the theater has been fulfilled," said Sonya Wolen, Assistant Director.
It will open this Saturday. Admission for non-member adults is $6 and it's $5 for kids.
