Annie Andersen is a multi-media journalist based in Roanoke. She moved to southwest Virginia in 2015 from San Francisco where she was a freelance reporter.
Before working in San Francisco, Annie worked in Shreveport, Louisiana where she covered not just Louisiana, but Texas and Arkansas too. While working in Shreveport, she hosted her own weekly segment, "I Love the Arklatex," where she went hunting for the Boggy Creek Monster and searched for the quirkiest and yummiest things the Arklatex had to offer.
Annie started her career in Oakland, interning at KTVU. While interning there, she helped to prepare newscasts during the Occupy movement, and also when Steve Jobs died.
Annie is an animal lover and embraces being a "crazy cat lady." You might even spot her taking walks on the greenway while pushing her kitty in a stroller. She's also an avid football fan and never misses watching her San Diego State Aztecs play, even if that means streaming the game over the computer.
