Hillcats outlast Potomac 6-5 in 14 innings to keep season alive

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Bobby Bradley's walk-off single in the 14th inning proved to be the winner as Lynchburg outlasted Potomac 6-5 to force a third-and-deciding game in the Carolina League Northern Division playoffs.

That game will be played Friday night at 6:30 at Calvin Falwell Field in Lynchburg.

Yu-Cheng Chang led Lynchburg's hitting attack, going 4-for-6 with two doubles. Francisco Mejia, Tyler Krieger and Connor Marabell all had three hits for the Hillcats.

Victor Robles and Bryan Mejia both had three hits for Potomac.

Friday night's winner will advance to the Carolina League championship series to face the Southern Division champion, either Salem or Myrtle Beach. Salem forced a third game in that series Thursday night, beating Myrtle Beach 5-1.

Salem will host Game 3 Friday night.
