Hillcats edge Frederick 13-12 to run winning streak to 6

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Lynchburg broke open a tie game with five runs in the sixth, then held on for a 13-12 win over Frederick in Carolina League Baseball Tuesday night in Lynchburg.

The Hillcats won their sixth-straight game, a season-high, and with Potomac's home game rained out against Salem, Lynchburg cuts the Nationals' lead to two games in the Northern Division.

Anthony Miller had a big game for the Hillcats at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a 3-run homer and four RBIs. Gavin Collins added three RBIs, Conner Capel and Jodd Carter added two hits apiece.

Lynchburg improves to 20-and-17 overall. Game two of the series is Wednesday night, 6:30, at Lynchburg City Stadium.
