VT's Buzz Williams looking to change players' mindset
BLACKSBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Virginia Tech Hokies are now in Buffalo preparing to face Wisconsin in their first-round game Thursday night at 9:40.
The Badgers are REGULARS in the Big Dance, it's been 10 years since Tech has made it this far. That's got Buzz Williams trying to change the mind-set.
Justin Bibbs, HOKIES JUNIOR GUARD, said "Since none of us, the players, have never made it to the tournament, our dreams were making the tournament. He wanted us to switch our mindsets to making it and then go deeper into the tournament, try to win some games."
Seth Allen, HOKIES SENIOR GUARD, said "As a first-timer, for a whole team, you know we don't really know what to do. So I think it's actually good for us so we can just follow Buzz' lead and just play as hard as possible. I don't think we'll come out nervous or anything, I think we'll come out ready, aggressive, ready to attack and just play for each other."
