Virginia eager to nail down first win of the season

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) - Virginia is 0-and-3, but the Cavs defense played much better Saturday, holding Connecticut to 277 total yards.

Coach Bronco Mendenhall has never started a season 0-and-3, the Cavs host Central Michigan Saturday.

Bronco Mendenhall, FIRST-YEAR VIRGINIA HEAD COACH, said "It's interesting, it doesn't feel like that to me now. I'm focusing so much on what I see is growth and improvement and I'm completely engrossed in the task. This is a massive change effort, it really is at every turn. But yea, I'm not used to it but motivated by it."

Andrew Brown, 3.5 TACKLES FOR LOSS, SACK, FUMBLE RECOVERY VS. UCONN, said "There's a very few things you can control and you have to take control of what you can control versus worry about what you can't control. So that's what we're trying to do and then those hurdles that have happened to us in the past can't worry about it because it's said and done. You know the only thing we can do is play in the moment, worry about the moment and make a better future."
