UVa's Tony Bennett honored as A.P. ACC Coach of the Year

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) - Virginia's Tony Bennett is the Associated Press ACC Coach of the Year.

Bennett got 13 of the 15 first-place votes after guiding a team picked to finish sixth in the league to an ACC title, 28-and-2 regular season record and UVa's first number one ranking since 1982.

The Cavaliers won a record 17 of 18 ACC games this season.

Duke's Marvin Bagley the Third is the AP's ACC Player and Newcomer of the Year. Virginia's Devon Hall also made the FIRST TEAM along with Carolina's Joel Berry and Luke Maye and Jerome Robinson of Boston College.

UVa's Kyle Guy made the second team.
