UVa Cavaliers talk about facing UNC-Wilmington in NCAA Tournament

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) - Virginia opens play Thursday at 12:40 in Orlando, taking on UNC-Wilmington.

The Seahawks like to play fast, averaging better than 85 points a game. The Cavaliers want to slow you down, UVa with the number one DEFENSE in the country, allowing less than 56 a game.

Tony Bennett, VIRGINIA HEAD COACH (CAVS 22-10, #5 SEED), said "They'll press, they'll pressure you in the half-court. They'll switch, they do a lot of things and they create some of those turnovers with just that pressure. So again your guard play is going to be important, it always is in tournament play."

London Perrantes, VIRGINIA SENIOR GUARD, said "We're going to need to make shots regardless if our defense is good or not because there's so many good teams in the field. We're gonna have to make plays, have to make shots. Can't really live and die by that three, but our defense is something that we live and die by, so."
