CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) - ACC regular season champion Virginia is now a unanimous number 1 in this week's A.P. basketball poll.

The Cavaliers collected all 65 first-place votes after last week's number 2 Michigan State lost to Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals. Villanova jumped two spots to second, then Xavier, Michigan State and Duke.

The big news out of Charlottesville Monday, All-ACC guard Kyle Guy will play with a sprained MCL when the Cavs open ACC Tournament play Thursday at noon.

Kyle Guy, WILL PLAY WITH SPRAINED MCL, said "I sat out a couple of drills, but you know I have a sprained MCL the training staff and the Doc say. But it hurts like hell but it can't get any worse."

Virginia has a double bye in the tournament and will play the winner of Wednesday's Florida State/Louisville matchup.
