LU's Mosley, Hickson battling for starting spot
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Liberty Flames offensive backfield this year will feature plenty of area homegrown talent.
Redshirt senior and one-time L.C.A. star Carrington Mosley out of Brookneal is competing with redshirt sophomore Frankie Hickson out of Heritage for a starting running back spot.
Hickson says all the competition talk is way overblown.
Frankie Hickson, LIBERTY FLAMES R-SOPH. RUNNING BACK, said "We love each other as brothers and we ultimately make each other better with how hard we grind. And you know he helps me with certain things, I help him with certain things and we're ultimately there for each other."
Turner Gill, SIXTH-YEAR LIBERTY FLAMES HEAD COACH, said "They're both competing for the job, they're gonna both play I can definitely state that at this point and time. We'll see who starts, who doesn't and all that as time goes. So I think we've got those two guys and there'll be some other guys who can get in the mix there."
