Track notes: Glass's Waller sets top time in nation in 400m Hurdles
COLUMBIA, SC (WSET) - E.C. Glass senior Emmanuel Waller put the nation on notice Saturday with his performance at the prestigious Bojangles Track Classic.
The recent VCU commit set the best time in the United States for a high schooler in the 400 meter hurdles, blazing through his competition with a time of 52.29 seconds, nearly a full second faster than his competition. Waller's time is also the third best ever recorded at the long running event in South Carolina.
Other Hilltopper athletes impressed Saturday, including indoor state champ Taliyah Wade placing 2nd in the girls shotput, Jade Lane second in the Triple Jump, and Alec Terrell third in the Discus.

Lots of success for athletes at the All-American relays in Radford on Saturday, including Liberty Minutemen junior Roman Ridley winning the 100 meter dash, LCA's Bryson Hunter edging Ridley in the 200, while Magna Vista's Ja'Quon Perkins blazing fast in the 400, winning by 8 tenths of a second.
