L.C.A.'s Christian Gordon throws perfect game in 10-0 win over Rustburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - L.C.A.'s Christian Gordon had a game Thursday he'll never forget as the Bulldogs blanked Rustburg 10-0.
The Bulldogs junior pitcher was dominating against the Rustburg Red Devils. Gordon struck out 13 of the 15 batters he faced, throwing just 64 pitches .
He struck out the side in the fifth, completing a 5-inning perfect game.
The Bulldogs got five runs the first inning, Quade Tomlin later homered in the fourth.
It's Gordon's first-ever perfect game, first no-hitter as well.
Christian Gordon, THROWS PERFECT GAME FOR L.C.A., said "You don't really think about it, you just go out there and compete and give it your all. And you go out there and you just have a mentality of, you know, you're the best on the field and, you know, that you can't be beat. And that's what I took out there today and that's how I threw this game."
