L.C.A. boys, Heritage girls among Monday night hoops winners
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Stephen Burgraff scored a game-high 19 points, including 12-for-12 at the free throw line the final quarter, as L.C.A. won at Brookville 42-29 Monday night.
This game was tied at 22 heading to the fourth quarter. A Burgraff three just over a minute into the fourth gave the Bulldogs a lead they would not relinquish.
Burgraff was 14-of-15 at the free throw line for the game, Gabe McKay added 9 points for L.C.A.
Piercen Young led Brookville with 9 points, Donnie Cook added 6.
The Heritage girls finished strong the first half, then broke it wide open the second half in a 72-43 home win over Amherst County.
This game was tied at 12 early before the Pioneers close the second quarter with a flurry, running their lead to 11, 33-22.
Heritage dominated after the break en route to the 29-point win.
