Jefferson Forest golf runs away with Raider Invitational championship

APPOMATTOX, Va. (WSET) - Jefferson Forest shot a 4-player team score of 286 and ran away with the Raider Invitational championship Thursday at Falling River Country Club in Appomattox.

The Cavaliers won the title by 24 shots over Appomattox and L.C.A. Randolph-Henry finished fourth with Rustburg taking fifth.

Sophomore Garnet Manley, III led the JF Cavaliers with a 66 to earn medalist honors. JF teammate Isaac Simmons finished second with a 68. Rustburg's Nick Rakes and Chatham's Matthew Arnold tied for third with a 70.

Jillian Drinkard of Appomattox and Jacob Tolley of Chatham tied for fifth with rounds of 71. Freshman Caleb DeBass of Jefferson Forest finished seventh with a 74.
