Heritage beats Liberty 69-7 in first-round playoff action
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Seminole District regular season champion Heritage took control from the outset against Liberty, running up a 55-0 halftime lead en route to a 69-7 win Thursday night in round one of the high school football playoffs.
Elijah Davis had another big night for the Pioneers, scoring on his first three carries of the game, racking up right at 200 yards on the ground and five TDs in the first half.
Heritage moved the ball on the ground and through the air, quarterback Jabari Blake put up good numbers. His touchdown pass to Carrington Anderson extended the Pioneers' lead to 28-0 after one quarter.
Heritage improves to 10-and-1 overall on the season and advances to round two, Liberty ends its season at 2-and-9.
