LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Three area teams punched their tickets to state championship games this Saturday with wins this past weekend. Heritage, Appomattox County and Salem will all play for titles this coming weekend.

Appomattox survived a dogfight at Union, Football Friday Player of the Year finalist Javon Scruggs made big plays on defense and offense, a key interception in period two, later scoring on a quarterback keeper. Appomattox led 20-0 at the half and held on for a 23-20 victory.

Salem, meantime, routed Sherando. De'Angelo Ramsey scored the Spartans' first four TDs, Salem ran up a 35-0 second quarter lead en route to a 49-14 win.

And the Heritage Pioneers got five TDs and nearly 400 yards rushing from Football Friday Player of the Year finalist Elijah Davis in a hard-fought 49-35 win over Staunton River.

Let's go Inside the Huddle for a little of Brad Bradley's post-game comments to his Pioneers.

Brad Bradley, HERITAGE HEAD COACH, said "I know one thing, we made the reservation. Are we doing that, understand that. Hey, listen to me men. We are going to win the state championship. We are going to prepare to win the state championship. I love you to death, I am proud to death of you."
