Brookville softball chasing another state championship

CAMPBELL CO., Va. (WSET) - The undefeated Brookville softball team is two wins away from a third state championship in the past four years.

The 25-and-0 Bees were getting in a workout Wednesday afternoon. They take on 3A East runner-up York in Friday's 2 o'clock state semifinal at Salem's Moyer Complex.

Jordan Dail, BROOKVILLE SENIOR PITCHER, said "They're gonna be a pretty tough team, kind of like a similar matchup to our championship game in regions. So as long as we're ready and prepared and we're ready to hit the ball and stay focused, I think we'll be fine."

Megan Dray, BROOKVILLE SENIOR CATCHER, said "We try not to think about the nerves and stuff like that 'cause we are Brookville softball and we think we're supposed to be here in this postseason. So I think we just kind of carry on like business as usual."
