Appomattox girls, boys blank Heritage in soccer openers

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - The Appomattox County girls started their soccer season with a bang Tuesday night, blanking Heritage 8-0 at Lynchburg City Stadium.

Abby Ranson, Samantha Paulette and Taylor Fulcher all scored two goals apiece for the Raiders on a cold opening night of the season.

Appomattox County took control early in the game, connecting on numerous goals in the opening minutes.

Also, the Appomattox boys opened with a 4-0 win at home over Heritage. Noah Williams had two goals to lead the Raiders scoring attack.
