MONETA, Va. (WSET) - 2 Staunton River High School baseball players formally signed their national letters of intent on Thursday morning, officially committing to play at the collegiate level.

6'6" pitcher Nathan Cutler will play at NAIA member Bluefield College, while outfielder Koby Karnes heads to UVA-Wise.

After signing, both players and their coach, Brian Divers, commented on the occasion, and the journey to get there.

Nathan Cutler, Bluefield College "The coaches and my teammates have really pushed me to work hard, and really help me prepare. (Bluefield College is) kind of a small school, a Christian school, and I think it will be a really good fit for me."

Koby Karnes, Will Play Baseball at UVA Wise "Staunton River has been a really good experience here. Especially having a coach like Coach Divers. He's really helped prepare me for whatever comes. "

Brian Divers, Staunton River Head Coach "Well, you know, they're both just quality young men. They love baseball, they work very hard. It's been great being able to coach both of them, and I wish them well at the next level."
