Salem going for rare football 3-peat Saturday
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WSET) - Salem goes for a third-straight state football title this Saturday in Williamsburg.
If Salem is to pull off the rare feat, one that's happened only six times since the mid-1920s, the 12-and-2 Spartans will have to knock off a team that has yet to lose this season, 14-and-0 Louisa County.
Stephen Magenbauer, SALEM HEAD COACH (SPARTANS 12-2), said "You know now we're on to a great Louisa team that's got a, you know they've got a power run game. But I think most importantly, their kids look like they love playing the game of football and they're gonna play hard. So we've got a big challenge in front of us."
