L.C.A. Plays at Collegiate Saturday for State Title

Lynchburg - V.E.S. and L.C.A. play for state titles Saturday. V.E.S. plays host to North Cross at 1.

The L.C.A. Bulldogs play at Collegiate in Richmond Saturday at one. The 8-and-2 Bulldogs are shooting for a third straight state championship, something that's never been done in school history. They'll have to slow down Collegiate quarterback Will Speight, who's committed to Michigan.
Frank Rocco, FIVE STATE TITLES IN 9 YEARS, said "In our 10 years here, we've lost one away game and it was at Collegiate five years ago for the state championship. So we're going back and hopefully we're going to try and right the wrongs of 2009 I guess."
B.J. Farrow, L.C.A. SENIOR RECEIVER, said "Being my senior season, the last high school game of my career, just to go out with a 3-peat, it'd be just unexplainable."
Matt Lewis, L.C.A. SENIOR QUARTERBACK, said "Coach Rocco said like the last quarterback in our division was Russell Wilson to win three state championships in a row. So it'd be pretty cool to win three in a row."
