Jeremy Haymore hired as Staunton River head coach
MONETA, Va. (WSET) - Opponents of Staunton River will continue to "Fear the Wing" for more seasons to come.
Bedford County spokesman Ryan Edwards announced Monday current offensive coordinator Jeremy Haymore has been hired as the new head coach of the Golden Eagles. Haymore replaces Chuck Poston, who retired after 8 years as head coach, and 16 total on the Eagles sideline.
Haymore, 39, has been at Staunton River for 5 seasons as OC, with his single-wing attack ranking as the top scoring offense in Virginia (any classification), amassing an average of 50 points and 475 yards per game. Prior to his tenure at Staunton River, Haymore was a coordinator at Patrick Henry (Roanoke) and a head coach at Appomattox and Eastern Montgomery. He also coached for Hargrave Military Academy’s post-graduate program, the top prep school in the nation in 2003.
