MONETA, Va. (WSET) - For area football fans, it's a shame Heritage and Staunton River aren't playing in the state CHAMPIONSHIP game Saturday.

They meet in the state SEMIFINALS with the winner earning a spot in next week's title game.

Brad Bradley, HERITAGE HEAD COACH, said "It's gonna be a long, hard-fought battle, we know that. It's gonna be a war, it's gonna definitely be a war. We're excited about the opportunity, but we also know we've got to play 48 minutes flawlessly and we've got to play really physical to win this game."

Chuck Poston, STAUNTON RIVER HEAD COACH, said "Whoever controls the line of scrimmage is going to win this football game. And our offensive line has been the staple of what we do. Kalip, Grayson, T.J., those guys couldn't have achieved the things that they've achieved if we didn't have kids moving people out of the way up front. So it's definitely going to come down to the line of scrimmage for sure."
