Appomattox Raiders hoping fans will make long road trip Saturday{ }

APPOMATTOX, Va. (WSET) - Two-time defending state champion Appomattox County hopes to keep its drive for three straight alive Saturday when the Raiders play at Union. The 12-and-1 Raiders will have to take a long 5-hour bus ride to face the 13-and-0 Bears, then deal with a hostile crowd. Appomattox Co. coach Doug Smith hopes Raiders fans will take the long trip to support their team.

Doug Smith, APPOMATTOX CO. HEAD COACH, said "There's definitely an advantage when you have your fan support there. So we really, we're requesting fans come out, come out and follow these guys 'cause they definitely could be that 12th man to help out a little bit."
