LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Lynchburg boxers Scott Sigmon and 18-year-old Cole Crumpler return to the ring this Saturday night in Greensboro.
They're fighting on the same card. Sigmon, a light heavyweight at 175, takes on West Virginia's David Marker in a scheduled 8-rounder, it's Sigmon's 40th career pro fight.
Crumpler is off to an unbeaten 7-and-0 start, five wins by knockout. He faces Nathan Petty in a scheduled 6-round bout, fighting at 134 pounds.
Cole Crumpler, 18-YEAR-OLD LYNCHBURG BOXER (7-0, 5 KO), said "Definitely a big stepping stone, probably one of the best guys I've fought. You know performing well in this fight is a big key to what I would get next. So definitely need to perform well."
Scott Sigmon, 28-10-1 RECORD (FIGHTS DAVID MARKER SATURDAY), said "I know that he's in the best shape of his career, I know he's coming to win. Like I said a win over me at this point would be life-altering for his career. So I'm not taking him lightly because a man that has nothing to lose and everything to gain, they're dangerous."
