Donna Andrews to play in D-Day Memorial Golf Classic in Hot Springs
HOT SPRINGS, Va. (WSET) - You've still got time to sign up and play in the third-annual D-Day Memorial Golf Classic two weeks from Monday, September 25th, at the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs.
All money raised from the Classic will go directly to the Foundation's education initiatives. Special guest players this year are 93-year-old famed World War Two fighter pilot Jerry Yellin, legendary Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer and former LPGA star and five-time State Amateur champion, Lynchburg native Donna Andrews.
Donna Andrews, 6-TIME LPGA TOURNAMENT WINNER, said "It's such a great honor to be invited to be a part of this big day. I had the privilege of touring the Memorial yesterday and what an amazing place to visit. But to be a part of something that's raising funds for such a great, great facility that we have right here in Bedford, Virginia is just going to be amazing."
Andrews and PGA great J.C. Snead will also give a golf clinic for the Classic participants Sunday the 24th at 4 o'clock.
