"Cujo" Sigmon, "King" Crumpler among area boxers claiming wins Sunday
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Local boxing fans got their fill of exciting action at the Boonsboro Ruritan Club on Sunday.
In the main event, Scott "Cujo" Sigmon picked up his 30th career win, with a unanimous, 10 round decision over Javier "Iron" Frazier of Aiken, South Carolina.
Neither fighter backed down, going toe-to-toe several times throughout the fight. In the end, Sigmon took the decision from all three judges, 98-92, 99-91, 100-90.
In the undercard, at 130 lbs, Lynchburg's "King" Cole Crumpler took a 6-round unanimous decision over Danville's Tyshae Ferguson. Both side exchanged bombs throughout the fight, with Crumpler landing the more significant shots. With the win, the 19-year old Crumpler moved to 9-0-1 with 5 KO's.
