Area boxers Sigmon, Crumpler have bouts this Sunday

LYNCHBURG , Va. (WSET) - Pro boxing returns to the Boonsboro Ruritan Club this Sunday at 3.

Lynchburg's Scott "Cujo" Sigmon and 19-year-old Cole Crumpler will be fighting on the same card.

The 30-year-old Sigmon will square off with Javier Frazier of Aiken, South Carolina, who at 5-6 is a few inches shorter than Cujo. Sigmon's last fight was a loss to unbeaten Luis Arias.

Crumpler, who fought to a draw in his last bout, will take on Ty'Shae Ferguson of Danville. Doors open at 1 Sunday afternoon, fights begin at 3.

Scott "Cujo" Sigmon, 29-11-1 OVERALL RECORD, said "I think Javier's a great fighter. He's going to put a lot of pressure on me. I'm definitely a shell of what I used to be, but I just can't see a guy like this coming here and beating me. But he's going to make me work hard sadly."

Cole Crumpler, 8-0-1 PRO RECORD (5 KO), said "I'm definitely excited to get into the ring. You know before my last fight I felt a little rundown, definitely overtrained. This time I feel where I've got a lot more energy, you know I'm READY. I'm excited to get back in the ring and put on a show for everybody."
