WATCH: News crew rescues man being swept away by floodwater
BEAUMONT, Texas - A CNN news crew jumped in to help a man who accidentally drove into a flooded ravine in Beaumont, Texas.
The camera operator was recording as the driver, who said the ravine looked like it was a road, drove into the water and started floating down the street. The news crew on the scene jumped into action, running to help pull the man from his vehicle.
After being rescued, the man appeared in shock, but talked with the reporter live on the air saying, "I wanna thank these guys for saving my life."
Harvey made landfall for the second time Wednesday, this time threatening western Louisiana. Forecasters believe the storm will drop another five to 10 inches of rain in that area. The death toll continues to rise from the storm, Wednesday the sheriff's office confirmed another two deaths related to Harvey, bringing the total number of people killed due to the storm at 20.
