The high school football season kicked off and a week from today the college season kicks into high gear. No cup cake off the top for UVa.

We know the Cavs take on USC at 3:30. What we don't know is who the starting quarterback is going to be. It looks to be either senior Scott Deke or sophomore Peter Lalich.

John Phillips, UVa TE - "I think everybody goes out every day and tries to work hard and get better and no matter who's calling the plays everybody's trying to get better every day and come August 30th we'll know the network of guys that we're going to have out there in the first huddle."

Cedric Peerman, Back for Senior Season - "We're going to have to work very hard to beat what last year's team did but we're just trying to move forward. We know that nothing we did last year is going to help us win any games this year so we're just trying to progress along in training camp and just looking forward."
