Girls' jeans recalled from Target due to laceration hazard

The CPSC said the recalled jeans have metal stars on the front bottom portion of the legs and the words "Cat and Jack" and "Super Skinny" printed inside the waistband of the jeans (Consumer Product Safety Commission)

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Target is recalling girl's jeans due to "a laceration hazard."

It involves the Cat & Jack Girls' Star Studded Skinny Jean in sizes 4-18P.

The CPSC said the recalled jeans have metal stars on the front bottom portion of the legs and the words "Cat and Jack" and "Super Skinny" printed inside the waistband of the jeans.

The hangtag attached to the jeans has one of the following numbers, 205-03-1377 to 205-03-1392 at the top of the tag:

These jeans were sold exclusively at Target and online at target.com from September 2017 - November 2017 for about $18.

CPSC said there have been six reports of metal stars falling off the jeans and five reports of lacerations.

If you have these, immediately stop your child from wearing them and return them to an Target store for a full refund.
