Baby panda tries her hardest to roll over
YA'AN, China (AP) — A video of a panda cub lying on its back and crunching repeatedly in an attempt to turn itself over has gone viral on Chinese social media platforms.
The clip, released by the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda, shows a five-week-old female panda at the Bifengxia Panda Base in Ya'an, in China's central Sichuan province.
The research center said that the panda cub does not have a name yet, but many at the base call her "Xidou's baby" in reference to her mother, whose name translates as "Little Bean."
The panda cub is the bigger of the twins that Xidou gave birth to on August 4.
