Woman suffering from dementia found safe in Pittsylvania County

PITTSYLVANIA Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing woman.

Investigators said Ms. Virginia Adkins, 78, was reported as missing Saturday morning when she did not show up to pick up a family member.

Reports show she does duffer from dementia.

Adkins could be in a royal blue 2002 Cadillac Deville, with license plate JPT-1435.

She was supposed to be driving to Danville to pick up a family member at the time she went missing.

Adkins is described as 5-foot-3 and 130 pounds.

Anyone with information on where Adkins could be is asked to call the sheriff's office at 434-432-7931.
