Woman pleads guilty to running over husband outside Madison Heights business
AMHERST Co., VA (WSET) - Angel Crews pleaded guilty in Amherst County Court Thursday to several charges after she ran over her husband outside the Tractor Supply Company in Madison Heights.
She was set for an arraignment Thursday, but ended up pleading to child abuse, second degree attempted murder, malicious wounding, and reckless driving.
An assault and battery charge against her was dropped.
State police were called to the Tractor Supply Company in Madison Heights last November where they say Angel Crews used a mini van to run over her husband.
They say children were in the van at the time; state police said the children are now staying with other relatives.
The husband was taken to UVA with serious injuries.
Crews is set to be sentenced in May.
