LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Walmart's online grocery pickup service has expanded throughout Virginia and will now be available in Lynchburg.

The free service lets customers order groceries online and then pick them up at their local Walmart store without leaving their cars.

The grocery pickup service features 30,000 items with more than 90% of customers choosing to add fresh meat, dairy, or produce to their baskets. Other top items selected include after school snacks, diapers, and large dog food bags.

It's now available at the Walmart on Wards Road and Old Forest Road in Lynchburg.

All items are prices at the same prices in stores.

Here's how it works:

Order and choose a pickup time online or through the Walmart Grocery mobile app, enter your zip code to select a local store, and begin creating your shopping list. During checkout you will select a time to pickup your order.

Personal grocery shoppers will then fill your basket.

Next thing, you just arrive at the pickup location where there will be reserved parking spaces marked in orange, and a designated number to call to alert an associate. An associate will quickly retrieve the prepared order and load it in your car.

Walmart guarantees the quality of the food being picked up or purchased in store through its Freshness Guarantee, so if you're unsatisfied, simply bring it back with a receipt for a full refund.
