Kason Brown and Mathieu Bonhomme Jr. (Roanoke City Jail)

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) - Roanoke Police say two men have been arrested in connection to recent carjackings.

According to police, Mathieu Bonhomme Jr., 19, and Kason A. Brown, 18, both of Roanoke are each charged with one count of carjacking in relation to an incident at Valley View.

Police say a 20-year-old woman was carjacked Tuesday around 4 a.m.

They say she arrived for work and saw a person walk up to her car, point what appeared to be a gun, and told her to get out.

The woman got out of the vehicle and told police she saw two men get into her 2001 green Ford Escape and drive off.

A few hours later, police responded to another carjacking in the 2700 block of Northview Drive SW.

A 61-year-old woman said she was approached by two men who demanded she get out of the car.

Roanoke Police say Bonhomme and Brown are suspects in the carjacking on Northview Drive, too.

They say additional charges are pending, and both men were served unrelated warrants for failing to appear in court.

Both Bonhomme and Brown were taken to the Roanoke City Jail.

Police say both stolen vehicles have been found.
