Trump-Pence campaign intensifies in Virginia
RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) - Donald Trump announced over 30 new campaign offices will open across Virginia this week. Over 30 new staff members have been hired for field operations in these campaign offices.
“Mr. Trump is investing in the most robust political operation Virginia has seen in decades," said Mike Rubino, who is the senior adviser for the Trump campaign in Virginia.
According to campaign officials, since Governor Mike Pence joined the ticket, the duo has visited the state nine times.
Trump's America First bus tour made stops in Tazewell, Washington, Buchanan, Pulaski and Wythe counties.
"The polls continue to shift in favor of Mr. Trump, and the enthusiasm is clearly evident on the ground here in Virginia,” Rubino said.
