Strong storms are possible Monday

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - There is a risk for strong storms Monday afternoon and evening, so it is important to stay weather aware.

A cold front is moving through our area today, which brings the chance for widespread rain

The Storm Prediction has put a large part of the viewing area in a slight risk for severe weather, which is a two out of five.

The SPC issued an enhanced risk, a three out of five, for the areas in eastern Virginia including Farmville, Prince Edward County, and parts of Charlotte County.

Threats for any storm that develops Monday include lightning, hail, heavy rain, and strong winds.

Quiet weather returns Tuesday.
