      South Boston Police Make Arrest in Break-In That Led to Dog's Death

      South Boston, VA - South Boston Police have a man in custody after a break-in Sunday evening that led to a dog's death.

      Police say a woman on Fenton Street came home and found her home burglarized. Her dog had also been badly beaten.

      The dog's injuries were so severe, it had to be put down.

      Monday police arrested Michael Waddle, 34, on one count of Breaking and Entering in connection to the incident. He was released on $10,000 bond.
