Missing, disabled man found near home safe

The Floyd County Sheriff's Office has located Buckner in a wooded area near his home.

FLOYD Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Floyd County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a missing man.

The sheriff's office said Sherman Buckner, who goes by the name Willie, was last seen on Alum Ridge Rd. in Floyd County around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

They said he is endangered and disabled.

He's described as a white male, 75-years-old, 5'11, 185 pounds, last seen wearing a blue long sleeved shirt and black athletic pants, a gray hat, and brown slip on shoes.

Deputies said he should also have a walker with him.
