Sheriff: 13 arrested in Halifax County drug round up

The drug round up was conducted last week when the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force, Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, South Boston Police Department, Virginia State Police, and Danville Police Department arrested the 13 suspects.

HALIFAX Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Halifax County Sheriff's Office said, as part of an ongoing drug investigation over the past six months, 13 people have been arrested.

The sheriff's office said the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Task Force has been investigating the buying and selling of illegal drugs in Halifax County.

The drug round up was conducted last week when the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force, Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, South Boston Police Department, Virginia State Police, and Danville Police Department arrested the 13 suspects.

  • Dina Breedlove, 34, of Halifax was arrested on two counts of selling/distribution of marijuana and three counts of selling/distribution of cocaine.
  • Robert Womack, 52, of South Boston was arrested on one count of possession with intent to sell/distribute schedule IV substances.
  • Laura Fears, 28, of Halifax was arrested on four counts of selling/distribution of schedule III substances and two counts of selling/distribution of schedule IV substances.
  • Jason Skipper, 40, of Virgilina was arrested on two counts of selling/distribution of cocaine and two counts of conspiring to sell/distribute cocaine.
  • Tameika Wilcox, 36, of Virgilina was arrested on three counts of selling/distribution of schedule cocaine and two counts of conspiring to sell/distribute cocaine.
  • Devonta Mitchell, 24, of South Boston was arrested on three counts of selling/distribution of cocaine and one count of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.
  • Lisa Womack, 48, of South Boston was arrested on one count of possession of scheduled II substance.
  • Justin Womack, 22, of South Boston was arrested on one count of distribution of cocaine.
  • George Faulkner Jr., 24, of South Boston was arrested on one count of possession with intent to sell/distribute cocaine.
  • Tayshon Womack, 21, of Halifax was arrested on one count of possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana.
  • Antonio White, 39, of South Boston was arrested on one count of possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana.
  • Lecedrick Moore, 22, of Vernon Hill was arrested on one count of possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana, one count of possession of cocaine, three felonious counts of child neglect, and one count of possession of marijuana.
  • Chloe Polk, 22, of South Boston was as arrested one count of possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana and three felonious counts of child neglect.

Mugshots were not available for Moore or Polk.

The Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Task Force is comprised of members of the Virginia State Police, South Boston Police Department, and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
