Police: Woman charged with murder after shooting, one dead
ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- Roanoke Police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday afternoon.
Police said officers responded to Orange Avenue, NW where they found an adult female and adult male with gunshot wounds around 6:15 p.m.
The shooter, who police said identified herself as Kimberly Gollop, 48, of Roanoke, was still on the scene,
Police said the adult female, male, and Gollop were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The adult female was pronounced dead around 9 p.m. Saturday night.
Police said the identity of the victims are being withheld until their next of kin is notified.
Gollop was treated for a minor leg injury she got during the incident and after she was released from the hospital, she was taken to the Roanoke City Jail and charged with second-degree murder.
Additional charges are pending, according to police.
